About Logan
I never thought I’d run for office. I left high school, earned my GED, waited tables while going to community college, and started Logan Square Skate after seeing a neighborhood problem I thought we could fix.
That work pulled me into local government, eventually led me to graduate from Loyola University Chicago and serve on staff in the U.S. Senate, and taught me two things I still believe.
Where you start should not determine how far you can go. And people should not have to fight their city for years to get basic things done. Their city should be fighting for them.
I’m running to make the 1st Ward more affordable and local government more competent, responsive, and useful in people’s daily lives.

The 1st ward
One of the things I love about the 1st Ward is how much of Chicago is within reach.
You can live here for years and still come across a park, a storefront, or a block you never noticed. Transit connects us to the rest of the city, but you don't need to leave the Ward to find the best of Chicago. It's all right here.
That matters in daily life. Clean parks, good schools, walkable streets, and reliable transit let neighbors take part in city life without everything carrying a price tag.
That is part of what makes our neighborhoods great places to build a life. As Alderperson, I want to keep that kind of life within reach for everyone.
